Happy 4th of July!!

Every year we love to wake up and go to the ward 4th of July breakfast, I am all about someone else cooking!

The boys love the ward parade, this year they were doing some serious trash talking at the starting line--yikes! Kaid was backing Keagan up that he could win the parade "race, because he is 5 1/2!" So there little 4 year old! Oh my!

Cam paraded easy style being pulled in the wagon (not so decorated, but it's red so who cares)
One of the best parts of the ward breakfast is the candy cannon, I love that it is fun to chase tootsie rolls halfway down the block, but you know, it makes a loud noise so it's cool!

Every year there is some fun way to get wet. Last year was the fire truck, this year the bouncer. Kaid didn't at first quite get how to slip and slide when the slide was elevated , so Kelly Super Man chucked him down the isle. (as you can kind of see behind the bouncer, Kelly finished his toss with a very professional bowler's stance- go Kelly!!)

After the ward breakfast Kelly and Jacob went to meet Glen Beck and have him sign their books. They were excited to meet him for half a second. Big fans of the man!! Then off to Grandma's where we first stopped to see her at the Quilt show that she put together. Very cool. Then we headed to the Angles for our annual B-B-Q to celebrate the country and Laurie's birthday. We always have such a blast! Here are my cute mom and dad.

Cam isn't at all obsessed with guns these days!

every year there is a super duper sawdust treasure hunt. What could be better! Cam was pretty darn excited about his sucker!

Cam loved the sparklers this year. I love watching kids and sparklers!

Suburban camping

Ok, so we marked our calendars a few weeks ago to go camping Friday. The boys love it and summer seems to fly by, so we wanted to make sure we could go at least once. We packed up the camper and headed out only to find that not only were ALL of the maintained camp grounds full, but the dispersed camping was also full. Really, it is a MOUNTAIN, how is it possible that there isn't a single space that we could park the stinkin tent trailer!!! Anyway, we headed home with some dissappointed little guys and set up the tent trailer in the wilderness of the lot next door. We still had a great time and it was nice to run in the house to put dinner together. Keagan was talking to Kelly as they were finally going to sleep at 1am, and said, "Dad, it's wierd because my brain is telling me that we are camping even though we are at our house." Great! Mission accomplished!
To make up for the boys dissappointment, Kelly brought out the TV and let the boys watch a movie before going to bed. The TV wouldn't fit through the door of the camper, so they watched it through the window. They loved it!

See, wilderness right next door! Keagan and Camden went "on an adventure" together.

Really roughing it!

Keagan's prayer

Keagan has been struggling with nightmares for a while now. Not so sure what to do about that. Last night his prayer was so cute, this is what he said...

"Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this day. This time will you please take away my nightmares and give them to someone that I don't know far away? In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Humm, nice to ask for a blessing of no nightmares, probably not necessary to wish them on strangers!!

Super Boys, Raya's Birthday, Janet's Shower, Family Reunion, and Family Night

Camden wants to be one of the big boys so bad! He loves playing super hero's with the big boys, only the super suits don't fit super well :(

Be scared!! I am!

Friday afternoon we got to go to Raya's 3rd birthday. It was a prince and princess party, here are my royal guys

Saturday morning we had Janet's baby girl breakfast. We ate at Kneaders -YUM!!- I totally recommend the sticky cinnamon bread french toast-awesome!

Heather found this idea on www.twopeasinabucket.com so cute! This is my attempt at making them.

Me, Janet, Heather

Lori wasn't able to come, so I got to bring her daughter Kaitie with us. She is getting so big and loves being on of the girls! Such a cutie!!

Next we were off to the Family Reunion at Wheeler Farm. Kelly is always so excited about these events where we don't know anyone! This is my beautiful mom and beautiful grandma Lois. Kelly stayed about 20 minutes and then was off to meet Tyler at the driving range with dad, who also felt he had served his time.

Cam and the boys loved chasing the ducks and geese. Cam didn't seem to care that all the big geese were hissing at him the entire time he was around them.

Leave it to my boys to find a way to do what they want! Bunnies in a cage, no problem- we will pet them if we want to!

The joys of boys!! It doesn't really matter that there are tons of people on the bike path or that the bathroom is not far, boys can pee anywhere, right? I couldn't resist a picture of thier little bums!
We went up the canyon for family night to a park we had never been to before. We will go back for sure! I am so grateful to live in such a beautiful place!!

Kaid doesn't think he is big stuff or anything!

My star napper and a temporary pet

Camden escaped from naptime to show me how shiny and bright he was. Kaiden swears that Cam decorated himself, hmm.

We went on a walk this afternoon and Keagan found himself a pet snake. Unfortunatly dad wasn't as excited about the pet as Keagan. Kelly let the boys take the snake swimming in the bath tub (YUM!!) and then they let him go back to his family. So sad!
